Marilyn Dippold

Marilyn Dippold is the sole owner and primary care lead of Southern Colorado Medicine.

Her extensive training at Georgetown University medical school and over 30 years of experience as a nationally board-certified Nurse Practitioner and health care provider, to include cardiac and intensive care, reinforced the importance of cultivating a strong partnership of prevention and treatment to achieve your health and wellness goals.

Our Mission

Treat our patients like "family", with respect and empathy, and provide them with the high quality and affordable medical care they expect and deserve.

We strive to provide a concierge-like experience with same or next day appointments available and after-hours on-call providers, all without the extra cost typically associated with this level of service.

Our Practice

A primary care internal medicine practice, established in 2004, with a highly qualified and caring staff that provides comprehensive first contact and continuing care for adults with any sign, symptom or health concern.

We focus on health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, patient education, and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.

Our Dedicated Team of Healthcare Professionals

Marilyn Dippold, FNP

As a nationally board certified health care provider and sole owner of the practice, my goal is to provide the highest quality medical care possible to our “family” of patients. My training and education at Georgetown University School of Medicine focused on a strong health care partnership … we are in this together! In addition, I have over 30 years of health care experience, to include serving overseas at the U.S. Army Landstuhl Regional Medical Center during Desert Storm, and on the staff of numerous leading-edge hospitals and cardiac/intensive care units throughout the United States as I traveled in support of my husband’s 24 year military career in the United States Air Force.

In 2002, my husband and I moved to and fell in love with the people and majesty of Colorado; it is now our permanent home.

Rhiannon Sunday, ANP

I am a Colorado native, born and raised in Colorado Springs. I completed my Bachelor’s in Nursing at the University of Northern Colorado. In 2001 I returned to Colorado Springs to begin my nursing career. Although I worked on a medical-renal floor, my primary focus was the Intensive Care Unit. I completed my Master’s in Nursing and received my Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Colorado in 2014.

My husband and I have two very busy boys. Our oldest loves soccer and hunting, while our youngest loves soccer and basketball. We all enjoy spending time on the Western Slope of Colorado with our extended family, along with hiking and playing sports together.

Compassionate Staff

We take great pride in our outstanding staff and their many years of consistently providing compassionate high quality medical care to our "family" of patients.

Healthcare Services

Treat acute and chronic medical issues

Acute conditions are severe and sudden in onset. This could describe anything from a broken bone to an asthma attack. A chronic condition, by contrast is a long-developing syndrome.

Interpret lab and radiological studies

A laboratory or radiology study is a procedure in which a sample of blood, urine, other bodily fluid, tissue or imaging is examined to get information about a person’s health.

Prescribe and manage medications

Safe and effective prescription management is necessary to avoid dangerous side effects as the result of medications interacting or because you mistakenly take the wrong drug or dose.

Provide tailored health counseling

Provide advice and guidance to collaboratively develop a treatment plan, and manage interpersonal relationships between the patient, family, friends, significant others and health care providers.

Consult and refer to specialists

Medical specialists are doctors who have completed advanced education and clinical training in a specific area of medicine, such as a cardiologist, endocrinologist, gastroenterologist, urologist, etc.
